It seems like we have exhausted this gear up incident, except that the object and purpose of the LML should be education and, as some have pointed out, to learn from our mistakes. So I guess the question is what did we learn? Hard to know without all of the facts Most of us deal with it with checklists and technology, but these are not infallible, and it seems like the gear up issue never goes away.
So I come back to does anyone have ideas on how to keep this from happening? Does anyone have a better mousetrap. Thoughts on how to set up gear warning systems - both Chelton and MVP seem to do this well, how to never forget to use the checklist even when distracted - this is a hard one for me.
