Can I cut out the outer skin and the pre peg core in the shape of the
handle
to inset the handle, bonding it to the inner skin. This will make the
handle
more streamline?

Hi Brad,

What worked out pretty well for me on the handle is this. First I covered
the handle with release tape. Then I built up a big glob of micro around the
handle area on the side of the fus. Before the micro cured, I pushed the
handle into it to create a handle shaped depression. After cure and a bunch
of sanding I ended up with a handle that fits into a perfectly shaped
depression. Now that the airplane is painted, the handle is flush with the
fus side and I didn't have to worry about compromising the structure. Don't
look too bad either, almost like I knew what I was doin'.
