I've ordered my Legacy kit but while I'm waiting ......
I'm afraid I'm not exactly familiar with all of the discussion regarding
the difficulty of bucking standard solid AD rivets in the pushrod
application but I can understand that it may be quite tempting to use some
other fastener for the job. In the forum I see talk of screws, pop-rivets,
Cherry-Max, etc.
Certain applications in aircraft require EXACT duplication of the
manufacturer's instructions. Not too long ago there was a widely publicized
fatal helicopter crash caused by a repair made to a tail section using
aircraft quality blind rivets (such as Cherry Max) rather than solid
rivets.
