Greetings Tom,

The fuselage is at the painters at the moment and it's a little difficult to
access it's innards to see what pressure switch we used. Off memory it's
rated at 100 bars, roughly 1500psi, a differential of 150psi, ie. the
difference between switch on and switch off, with snap action contacts.

Physically it's larger than the Lancair switch with a different thread which
means removing the manifold block and drilling and tapping a port to suit.
Where you find such a switch in your part of the world I do not know but I'm
sure you have suppliers with extensive catalogues from which to choose. When
I can get back inside the fuselage I'll look up the part we used.

While on the subject of the manifold block we also drilled and tapped it to
mount an electronic pressure transducer to sense hydraulic pressure. This
drives a custom built 10 bar multi-coloured LED display to indicate
hydraulic pressure. This display is similar to the Mac Trim displays and
gives a neat indication of hydraulic pressure.

I hope this helps,   Robert Overmars,  Australia
