Jim,
The foam tape is to seal the upper wing surface from the lower wing surface assuming enough flow is occurring to create drag. At least, that’s my theory.

Is the foam tape supposed to remove space that can “cause” drag? Then no use for gap seals? If so - genius idea.
What’d I miss?
Jim
OK Doug, here’s another 4 for you. Put Home Depot Compressible Foam Tape in the wing trailing edge flap pocket. I have been planning to do this but just haven’t got around to it. Put in 8 more “tricks” and you are up 40 KNOTS! Don’t laugh you guys, Lee Behel did it at Reno.

Any bets on the improvement with gap seals, etc? I am guessing 4 knots.
