My 360 kit has a steel elevator torque bracket make of steel (probably cad plated) in a 92 kit with Mk II tail. The distance from center of the torque tube to the pushrod hole center is 2.75 inches. I thought about drilling a second hole closer in case I need it later, but this seems like a short lever so I will wait until after test flights.
Next job is fitting the cowl. Some say align the cowl ¼ inch lower than the Spinner backplate to allow for settling of the engine (360 with dynafocal). Does that sound about right? The plane will be registered soon as N77ZG. Mel Asbury will do the inspection. Any 320 or 360 owners in DFW area please contact me offline. I would like to see your plane.
