Well, the variety of responses you're about to get is bound to be entertaining. I just changed the tires for the first time on my LNC2, and have the small mains manufactured in China. For this perhaps prejudicial reason, I elected to replace them when almost all the tread was gone. I was instructed too long ago that tires required changing if they showed any deformity or cord. Let's see what other answers you get.
