I built my dry (cutting) table using the HDPE Vern sold me while at the fast
build wing week at the factory and used the 48" dimension as the width...
only to find most fabric is in 50" or wider rolls. I ended up scabbing 2 x
4's onto the sides of my table. I was forced to cut off the end two feet
of HDPE and use a wider piece. It is now 52" and that is barely wide
enough.
Countersinks also gave me fits. My stash of aluminum cutting c'sinks do not
cut carbon or E-glass well at all, leaving a frayed looking chamfer. I
bought a six fluted c'sink from my local tool supply and it works well. It
has no pilot and only three flutes cut; the other three are wiper flutes. I
don't use a micro stop as it has no threads. Just be darn careful! If
anyone has knowledge of a good multi-fluted c'sink with the 1/4-20 threaded
shank... please shout it out. It would be nice to be able to use a micro
stop... I asked A/C Spruce to look for one but got no response.
