Just to follow up on this annoying problem: I jacked the pilot side this afternoon and rotated the wheel slowly. At certain portions of the rotation, the brake pad seems to drag along the disk, causing the brake assembly to chatter. If I push the brake 'puck' completely in, the chattering disappears but then after taxing around, the chatter / rattle is back. It almost seems that the brake 'puck' does not retreat enough or is ever so slightly cocked, thus causing it to push the brake pad towards the disk. Maybe I need some sort of rebuild kit? What will happen if I disassemble the brake assembly and remove the puck to see if there is anything accumulating inside? Ideas anyone?
