Hello Ian,
I live in Montreal and have a Lancair 320 hangared in Plattsburgh, NY. Not
too far from you. In any event, I can echo Byron's suggestion about the
mentioned CFII/A&P. He used to own a 235/320. His name is Woor Pardo and his
email address is woor@earthlink.net I would strongly recommend him.
He charges $ 250 a day. He is stationed close to Arlington, VA. Another
option is to come to him, but I suspect your airplane is not flyable and you
would need someone to assist you with first flight etc.I know that he is
flying a Cheyenne into your neck of the woods from time to time. So you
might be able to work around his schedule and have him cut you a deal. The
weather will be an issue that you will have to deal with. I had to cancel
instruction with him 6 times this winter. Makes me wonder why I live here
!!!
Another issue you must consider for insurance purposes is if a US CFII is
legal for giving instruction in a Canadian registered aircraft.
