The latest post by Chris Zavatson is good information, recommending the use of the mandrel with 491 hose fittings. To be honest, I didn't go far enough around the pages of the A/C Spruce catalog to find the mandrel plus I didn't know how I was going to make the hoses. I did notice that the hose fittings for the teflon hoses were about $50.00 each. But as I was struggling with making the hoses I'm thinking, "There must be a better way of doing this" to avoid pushing up some of the interior of the hose with the hose nipple as it is screwed in. So far (several flights) I have no leaks or other problems with my hydraulic system.
These exchanges point out again the value of the LML to builders and pedestrian mechanics like me.
