Jimmy and all:
In answer to your Questions
1.My 360 has gotten possesed a couple of times.I am still here(.knock on
wood)It does not fall out of the sky as most folks might think
2.You will have to call Lancair about that, but I suspect they will support
the design for a long time.
3.I have flown the Legacy Twice. One time with the small engine and one with
BIG engine.I can tell you all It is a beauty with the BIG engine and it is
VERY FAST.It will eat a 320/360 in one gulp. This model is definatly superior
in every way to the 320 series. It is at least 40 kts faster than the most
healthy 360 you can find.It has the best ailerons in the buisness. It is
effortless to fly.It is much larger inside and has a much improved landing
gear(and I might add landing manners). This is not an add for Lancair.Just my
first hand observation
4.Having said all that about the Legacy.I should give my Little 360 at least
a parting glance(just joking)Seriously the 320 is a fine airplane and a
great design. They are fast. And if properly built are more trouble free than
any spam can.In short it is a GREAT airplane to own. Also much more fuel
efficient.8/10 gph vs 13/16gph
5.If you like the airplane I do not think the age of the kit has much to do
with it.There have been upgades over the years but can be found out in
detail(as well you should)from Lancair and this list. There are a lot of
these planes out there still being built and will continue to be built 10 or
more years from now.
