I plumbed my Legacy parking brake directly in line as the brake
lines pass through the center console. I, too, didn’t use a cable, but mounted
the brake valve directly in the forward left side of the console. I think I got
it at Aircraft Spruce.
I am really happy with my parking brake. While most of the time,
it’s not really needed, there a number of slanted ramps that makes it really
handy. One time, I stopped off in Placerville, CA to buy gas at their
self-service pump. The ramp at this pump has a serious slant! I could not have
exited the airplane without my parking brake.

I
am currently finishing up on the hydraulics, and was curious how parking brakes
have been approached on Legacy's.
