Did any of you guys who are worrying about fuel management ever fly a cherokee 235?
I have several hundred hours in one.  These things have 4 fuel tanks with no automatic crossover other than that the pilot will switch tanks when the engine quits.  I had this happen several times and other than waking me up the problem was resolved in less than 30 seconds.  While I may be slower than some after a while you learn to select the fullest tank before you get into the airport approach sequence.
