Hello again folks-

About the cracks in my exhaust system, my A/P mechanic suspects that wrapping my exhaust system in exhaust manifold insulating tape (which I did after the first time we had to remove the system to weld some cracks) may have contributed to embrittlement of the system.  Any comments on this?  Are any of you wrapping your systems to reduce heat radiation in your cowl area?  How much should I expect for my system?  Is it normal to have to remove the system every year to weld cracks?
