I don't understand.  Why would you have to move this other stuff forward?  Is this instead of relocating your engine?
Orin tells me that the new CG forward limit was established by doing flight tests on his plane.  His plane flies like a dream. There is no reason to move the CG forward of that new CG forward limit.
If you have any idea for locating the battery ahead of the firewall, I'd like to hear them.  I'm not sure it's possible to locate a G-35, or even a G-25 battery there. I'm not concerned about the life of the battery -- just the room for it.  Comments?
