any thoughts on removing the nose gear door?

Is it advisable? Possible?

Yes, the nose gear door can be removed so that flames from the engine fire will reach your right knee first whilst it is bubbling beneath the header tank!

 

Or, build a new door, perhaps out of al-u-min-e-um - another composite component.

 

What was the problem again?
