I've mounted the oxygen bottle on the front side of the spar beneath the
pilot's seat. It's easily accessible to turn on the flow of oxygen. But
where to put the masks has me perplexed.
I know that someone out there has a great idea for hiding the masks away,
but yet are totally accessible (especially for the pilot) in the event of a
decompression. Some additional questions:
Are the masks permanently plugged in?
Do you fly with the mask "at the ready" when at high altitude?
How would you communicate and breath O2 at the same time? (I've tried the
headset mic up close to the mask - you can't break the squelch).
Are there any other thoughts that should be going through my mind?
