The discussion on wing reflexing is very interesting. I'm only missing
one thing: a definition of what it is. Can someone help?

{Reflexing is the deflection of the control surface in the negative direction,
thereby reducing lift slightly which is accompanied by an attendant
reduction in drag. The flaps on the LC20, for example, when in their
fully retracted position, are actually reflexed (moved upward from the
'faired in' position) approximately 3 degrees. The current discussion
is focused on the drag reduction which might be acquired by reflexing the
ailerons, a configuration not supported by the present control system.
I hope this helps.
As I am still intent on installing a console mounted center control stick
on my LC20 it would be a relatively simple matter to design aileron reflex
into the new control system. If the concensus of the aero engrg types
currently active with the LML (and Martin Hollmann's opinion) support
this modification I will plan on incorporating it when the time comes.
I will probably come up with a way to interlink it with the flap control
so the reflex would be removed in the lower speed regimes when increased
lift is the primary goal.
