This is a question for those of you who are flying your IV-P's with
pressurization operative.  The factory construction manual I have says to
install the fuselage side door seal, p/n SF14-1704.
It is called a modification and there are instructions to cut down an
earlier type seal to yeild the proper flange width.  I believe I have that
later type seal.  Reference figs 28:K:1, 2 & 3 in chap. 28 and the
instruction paragraphs.
Neither Hal Woodruff or I can remember seeing a seal on the fuselage of any
IV-P we have looked at.  Are we blind?  Is this seal not currently used?  Is
it better to leave it off?
Any and all comments are greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Walter Dodson    IV-P  86% and progressing...
