For Larry Henney, et al -
My landing gear inhibit switch (Kenmore washing machine variety) is set
to allow retraction as the airspeed increases through ~90 mph. The
hysteresis in the switch is such that the re-set (to again disallow
retraction) occurs somewhere around 20 mph. These settings seem to work
fine.
Just to be safe, "LANDING GEAR SWITCH - DOWN" is on my "before engine
start" checklist, right after "TOW-BAR - STOWED" and before "MASTER
SWITCH - ON". Check the circuit operation whenever the airplane is on
jacks.
