I had the pleasure of removing a thick layer frost from my Lancair 320
Monday morning in St. Louis.  I ran to the bathroom to soak some rags in
hot water.  Certainly not the ideal solution.  Is there some acceptable
chemical, perhaps like alcohol, that can be used to de-ice light frost
on an aircraft without harming the paint and canopy.
