The picture is a IV. I have not seen a legacy up close. The joggle in the panel is important in the IV. It shades the glass and moves the autopilot aft enough to clear the glare shield. Don't know if the joggle would provide the clearance necessary for the Legacy canopy. I believe the joggle should be used with the 900 since the shading helps the readability of the screens at most sun angles.

Jack, is that a Legacy? In my airplane, the autopilot could not be mounted on the upper panel where you have it, because with the panel moved forward (for knee clearance), the autopilot interfered with the canopy hinge.
