FAR 23.1303 specifies that an Airspeed Indicator is a required flight instrument.

Bill, for the elucidation of everyone, please be kind enough to tell us where "Airspeed Indicator" is defined by the FAA so we all know exactly what it meant by that term.

Of course we know from your prior statements that "TSO-C2d, Airspeed Instruments" and the referenced "SAE Aerospace Standard  8019 "Airspeed Instrument"" is absolutely NOT where we would find any information regarding the aforementioned device.
