WOW! I just received two of these babies from A/C Spruce and the look of
the headsets - as well as the fabric case - is exceptionally high quality.
I put in the batteries, and adjusted them to fit and they are as comfortable
as they look.
Proof is in the pudding, so it will be interesting to see how they do in a
three or four hour x-country. But for Greg Nelson and others who
recommended them - a big thank you.
I was set to invest in Bose headsets at $1,000 a pop. These are a little
over half that.
A little surprise - A/C Spruce wants $565 - not the $525 that Greg mentioned
he paid about 1.5 weeks ago. When I brought this to their attention, they
claimed ignorance of the price they'd given him and $565 is what I paid. It
still appears to be a reasonable figure. I do wish they had a hard wire
option for the ANR. Portability is nice, though, and since it has automatic
shut off and gets many hours from a couple of AA batteries, I may sing a
different tune about this feature later - especially if I keep my Beechcraft
after completing the Lancair.
