Tex Tech Ind. (207) 933-4404 or voice mail @ 1(800) 441-7089X252 sells
4 x 8 ft sheets of approx. 5\16 inch thich spun nomex with foil coated
mylar on one side and adhesive backing on the other side.  It is good
for sound and heat insulation.  They used to sell a better product that
had thick aluminum foil instead of the mylar on the non-adhesive side.
I have used it to protect fiberglass cowls from exhaust pipe heat.  It is
on the crossover pipe of my chevy hot rod to protect the oil pan from
heat soaking.  Fabulous stuff!  I have no interest in the company.
