For Mike Reinath, The fitting exiting the fuel pump is a special ("O" ring) fitting that will reduce the line size to a #4 making the transition easy, one of the reasons for 3/8 line to the pump is for heat dissipation to counter vapor lock. Ensure that all lines and fuel components are protected from engine heat, particularily from "seeing" the exhaust system.
