Thanks for all the KUDOS from those that have written, seems I have a lot to live up to.  That "anal" comment was a good thing wasn't it Brent ??

To continue with the discussion on solid wire cable ends, I agree that if you must use this type of control, the "cable end B nut" is best, and never, NEVER,NEVER use the "bolt type terminal" as they put an extreme load on the wire at two points, and have been outlawed in most applications for many years.  As a safety measure a return spring can be installed to move the control to the "fly" mode if a cable or fitting fails, ie: throttle full, Mixture rich, Carb heat cold, Ram air to filtered, the Prop Gov. is spring loaded to High RPM.
