Marv;
I am building a Pulsar kitplane, similar in shape to Lancair but a bit
slower. I'm considering using an intumescent paint for the engine
compartment to hopefully protect the composite cowl in case of a fire. A
supplier of IP's told me Lancair folks were already using such a
coating. I'm inquiring whether this is true and any feedback about how
it has performed and the durability, ease of coating,like/dislikes.
Thanks
Bob Hartunian
