My 'ol C-150 has such a cable on the mixture control and for a backup, I
installed a spring that would move to full rich if the wire broke.  In
fact, I also have one on the throttle.  And I have installed springs on
the LCN2 I'm completing.. hope to fly it this Summer.  Earl
