Subject: [FlyRotary] Re: heater cores and fan units
Back in January you posted information about a heater unit with
integral fan from Northern Factory Sales. Measured about 7x7
inches.
What does it weigh?
Take a look at: http://www.1nfs.com/
P
Yes, it was the AH454 unit that I purchased. The site does not show
weights, but mine weighs just under 5 pounds on my bathroom scale. I am
getting rid of the heavy fan motor and steel housing, and replacing the fan
with one of those multi-bladed lightweight fans like they use to cool
computers (but 12 volt), and making the housing out of either aluminum or
fiberglass. That should get the weight in under 3 pounds. Hope this helps.
