John; Joe gave you good info on loads.  I am using the LS1 coils, and I did have a
15A fuse blow on one set of (3) coils.  It apparently happened on startup (I
don't recall doing anything behind the panel that may have caused it), and
apparently under the right conditions, a high draw can occur when things are
turned on.  The engine, of course, still started and ran on the other set of
coils, but I could tell something wasn't entirely cricket.

I have looked for slow-blow blade-type fuses, but have not found them.

Just as a reminder, the estimated loads are useful in sizing wires, but
circuit protection is selected to protect the wire; not the load.

Al or anyone, speaking of fuses, I'm about to order
PTC resettable fuses in my Velocity, and haven't been
able to find any load values for the stock mazda
coils, the fuel injectors, the EC2 or the EM2, Al as I
recall you are using LS1 coils not Mazda but I haven't
come up with anything. I even looked in the RX7 manual
to see what size fuse Mazda used. It just says the
fuses are listed under the cap.

There certainly reasons for either CBs or fuses, and
I have both in my
plane.  For my flight critical circuits I opted for
simple, fault tolerance
and fuses.  I wouldn't argue with someone making a
different choice.

FWIW,
