Yeah, Joe, by all means, do so.  It costs nothing to try it out and if you see its usefulness you can shell out the couple $$ for the full version.

There are a couple things about the installation and using the program.  If you're running XP and have been operating without a reboot for several days, online, offline, running lots of different apps, I found that XP tends to stack up svchosts in the task manager and they get in the way of the installation.  Do a restart and then install, it will work just fine.  Then, the program group it sets up has lots of icons, only 2 of which are actually executables.... running "Edison" brings up all 3 modules but only lets you work with the workbench and shematic analyzer that is linked to it.  To get to the schematic editor you need to run the "Schematic Analyzer" icon, which actually brings up the editor which includes its own analyzer module.  That part of running it is counter-intuitive at best.

One last thing... if you need a way to draw schematics for the wirebook for your airplane this could be a very simple solution.  It obviously doesn't have all the "stuff" you find in an airplane, but with the paid version you can add your own components, etc, so you could likely come up with everything it takes to get the job done.  It's a point, click, drag, click environment, so it doesn't get any easier.  Again, FWIW.
