Got back today from Charlie & Tupper's Fly-in at Outer
Slobovia. Always a treat. Had big head-winds on way up but got paid
back with an equally strong tailwind on the way back. The psychological
effect of seeing 200+ cruise speeds is a kick! First time using the oxygen
system and it really makes high altitude cruising a lot nicer.
Stayed at 16,500 most of the time and felt great on arrival rather than the need
for a nap like I usually feel.
The Renesis continues to get better all the time as it breaks in and I get
the engine controller fine tuned to it. Only glitch was the sluggish
engine start after the engine cold soaked over night. Need to switch from
15W - 50 to 10W - 30 for the winter. Or maybe its that weenie motorcycle
battery I use? Anyway, another pleasurable 6 rotary powered hours added to
the Hobbs.
