I don't know anything
abut the Mazda cooler (if that's what that is), but logic would suggest that
you have backwards. I see three tubes on one side of the divider, and
four on the other. I would want the cooler, more viscous oil running in
the four tubes.
Other than that, if
there is no built in thermostat, it will ‘work’ either way.
