Jesse, this site has been mentioned before by Leon. I have used it extensively in building my intake. There are several related articles such as how to build a fuel rail. Once you are there you can click on the different articles. Gives actual dimensions such as the fuel injector boss should be .540 to .545 i.d. to provide proper crush for the o-ring. Pretty much everything is covered. Jerry

based on Paul Lamar's current p port testing there is no problem
with placing the injectors at the far end of the runners. This is
also backed up by an article on the internet (How to Fabricate an
Intake Manifold) The idle issue is not with injector location but
rather with butterfly location.

And as an addendum:
How to make fuel injector bosses if you don't have a lathe.
File down the edge on a standard plumber's tube cutter. Run it around a piece of 5/8"x.035 tube so that it make a ridge on the inside. Run one ridge to just have a press on boss. Run two ridges to have the boss 'capture' the o-ring.
I'm working on a method to make bosses out of 1/2" tube (cause I have some in stainless laying around). My current thinking is a rubber spindle on a bolt. Crank it down till the steel expands a bit.
