Here's another question - having little knowledge
in the area, I'm considering Tracy's ECU and the EM2.
What are your appreciations of the
products.
Is it the EM2 which provides the auto tune
capability ?

Hi George,
Not much new to add to what's already been said, other than
to agree that it's a good combo. I also agree that you need to plan to
expend some effort to calibrate the EM-2, or it won't be quite right.
Again, this has to do with the fact that he made it able to work with just about
any sensor you could want to stick in there, and even be able to adjust for
slight differences between individual sensors of the same
type.
From what Tracy has said, the auto tune feature
will only work with current EC-2's if you have an EM-2. In the future, he
plans to have an updated version of the EC-2 that can accept an O2 sensor input,
and do the auto tune function without an EM-2. Even given the choice, it
sounds like doing it via the EM-2 is the best way to go, since you
can watch what it's doing in real time (so I've heard). I know Tracy
was making some changes in the auto tune feature before really releasing
it, so I haven't seen a chip yet. Maybe it will get here in time for the
next intake :-)
Cheers,
Rusty (thanks for the address
Jerry)
