Isn't that what Mazda is doing with the RX8?
 
Now if you have an idea where the best position to place the injectors, I would like to hear about it. I'm a bit concerned about the injectors being in the way of the manifold tubes.
 
No rush, I'm happy to wait for the info - it all takes time!

George, The place for the injector would probably be about where the Knock sensor sits on the '93 13B housing. That is about 15° upstream of the trailing plug hole. BTW George this is probably what Mistral is using for their heavy fuel spark ignited engine.
