Why so close?  Why not 50%?  Is there a compelling reason to match breakers that close to the "anticipated" load that I'm missing??

    correct answer.  DO NOT try to directly match the load with the
    breaker (or fuse if you insist) rating.

        I am trying to size the breakers at 25% over normal current
        draw of the device.  Okay?
