The timing of this topic couldn’t be better! I FINALLY got my exhaust system back from the welder and was busy putting it in this weekend and creating the heat shield, etc.  I got to the O2 sensor installation and almost had decided to skip the O2 because it means another delay in starting my engine. It needs to be mounted in a piece of stainless and then welded to the exhaust - ARGGHHHH more welding! The existing Inconel isn’t thick enough to thread the 3/8” Straight Pipe threads.

 

So, you’ve convinced me and I just order a stainless welding bung from McMaster.

I certainly would not draw that conclusion, Bulent.  I have found theLED  A/F indictors such a good indication of what my engine is doing that I would hesitate to fly without it now.  If the engine starts to stumble you immediately know whether it because its too much or too little fuel - sort of nice to know, trust me. {:>)
