It turns out that these reinforced rubber exhaust hangers (cloth sandwiched between rubber, like baffle seal material except 1/4 inch thick) are still available from Moss Motors in Goleta CA!  Actually within walking distance of Santa Barbara Airport if you're so inclined and you park at Signature.  If not, 805-681-3400 or www.mossmotors.com -- it's on page 63 of their Spitfire catalog and there's a nice drawing downloadable in PDF format.  There's a metal bushing that goes thru the rubber, but they don't carry those since the average Spitfire owner can reuse theirs.  A little piece of thick walled aluminum tubing will do nicely here.

The part number is 812-080 and they cost $1.75 each.  Where else can you get an airplane part for less than two bucks?  - Rob Wolf
