Jim Weir's copper tape antennas work great for lots of things, including
the stereo. He sells a kit (check RST's web site) for a very reasonable
price that includes the copper tape, ferrite beads (if you're a believer),
and a good little booklet that explains how to make various antennas and
where to put them. On my first ES, I put a third copper tape antenna in the
empennage for a COM, and it worked better than one of the Archer antennas.
Also used copper tape for the AM/FM, and for MB. Dirt cheap and very
effective.
