Hi Jack,

I also have an IV-P.  Com 1 and transponder are both mounted directly to
carbon-fiber.  Both systems work flawlessly.  The transponder is directly in
front of the main spar and the com 1 antenna is mounted directly in front of
the gear box.  Hope this helps.
