Continental makes or has made an IO-520 that may be the mystery engine, and
there is also the TSIO 520.  The latter is an extremely reliable engine,
typically providing 2500+ hours of trouble free service in operations
normally below 10000'.  It makes one wonder what is the reason for all of
the TSIO-550 troubles.  Is it the added displacement, the operating
environment, or the operators, although everyone seems to be having cylinder
problems?
