Nuts, Bolts, Fasteners, & Plumbing Handbook

     We've had more requests for a book on the types and application of AN and
MS hardware and plumbing than any other topic. Here
it is, found from of all places, the race car world.
     This is the absolute bible on - what to use, where to use it, how to use
it, and why. Nuts, bolts, screws, washers, solid and blind
rivets, clevis pins, plate nuts, rivnuts, dowel pins, eye bolts, dzus
fasteners, camlocks, heli-coils, plumbing and line fasteners, line
construction, etc... etc...
     This book covers descriptions, identification, selection, installation,
torque standards, inspection, and removal. It is full of pictures
and drawings showing the right and wrong ways of doing things.
     Here is a topic which many builders and mechanics may at first take
forgranted or overlook, but in reality, once you own a copy,
it will probably become the most used and valuable book in your library.


Airbrushing & Spray Paint Manual

If you are looking to go beyond the basic one or two color paint scheme, this
book will show you how to create and apply a highly
detailed design limited only by your imagination. Fading colors, flowing
rainbows, flames, murals, mottled camoflage, insignia, logos,
etc... Many of us have admired the amazing paint jobs seen at Oshkosh and in
magazines. Here is how to do it, including equipment,
techniques, and a extended series of exercises to build your proficiency before
attempting to tackle your final project.
     This book was written primarily for the model aircraft enthusiast, however
the techniques used are equally relevent to the real
thing. In fact, the more detailed your scheme, the more applicable the
techniques. A must for anyone considering building or flying a truly
unique and personalized aircraft.


Sheet Metal Handbook
by Ron Fournier                137 pages            $17.95
(in the Sheet Metal section)

     On forming and shaping sheet metal, (as compared to fabrication and
assembly as in Aircraft Sheet Metal).  This book, as written
for the automotive custom body trade, covers shaping techniques, hammer
forming, shrinking and stretching, use of an English Wheel,
beaders, rollers, and power hammers. These, and other basic hand and shop tools
are described in depth along with the proper
techniques for their use.
     These skills will allow the aircraft builder or restorer to fabricate or
repair complex shapes from aluminum sheet where composites may have previously
been considered the only option. It will compliment any sheet metal worker who
wants to go beyond the basic
skills of bending, cutting and riveting.
