Subject: [LML] IV-P engine Mounts

My IV-P is having an extensive rebuild after a hanger fell on it 3 years ago.

We are in the final stages (I hope).

When the shop started to mount the engine they found the the brand new engine mount was shorter than my original mount. It positioned the engine an inch or two further aft. This caused space conflicts with the battery box and put the spinner just inside the cowling.

My kit was a fairly early kit built by Mark Kirchner and completed in 1998.

Can anyone offer any insights as to why this might happen? Were there more than on engine mount for the IV-P? Does anyone have CAD drawings for the mount?
