 I've been flying a 235 for 14 years.  I routinely fly from a 2600 foot paved
runway at sea level.  No problem here, but I think at 2k and grass, you are
pushing it.  Takeoff performance is around 1700 to clear 50'.  Factors:
 Constant speed of fixed pitch prop?  a Big factor!  Weight:  Solo or dual...
 at what weight?  What density altitude do you typically see?  My bird is 940
empty.  I fly between 1300 and 1500 lbs.  125 hp and constant speed.    The
attached spreadsheet will help you understand the performance.
