I had heard stories of this issue when I was building so I drilled and retapped
the screw hole for the next larger size. I have not had any issues yet, fingers crossed.
Six years of flying so far. But the issue does cross my mind evry time I open the door.
I never jerk the door open/closed but pull gently every time.
