A better solution to this problem is to install jack points that accept a
threaded "mushroom", which in turn accepts the top of a jack.

In building my plane, we attached small, threaded pieces of steel to the
spar, just inboard of the wing attachment.

This accepts the threaded steel "mushroom" and allows for a secure jack
point.
