If built according to plans there is a hole in the bottom of the rudder
towards the forward edge. There should be an aluminum tube screwed onto
the bottom hinge pin (bolt) and it should be safety wired. Remove the
wire and, using a screwdriver (there should be a groove for that in the
tube end), unscrew the tube removing it and the washer that ensures the
rudder cannot come off. Once that is removed, just lift the rudder about
3/4" and it will come off. Be careful if there is a tail light and
motorized trim tab as there should be a connector to disconnect any wires that
run into the rudder. Reverse for replacement.
